Do I Get A Qualification?
All students get a certificate of completion and depending on the course you may receive a diploma. The Digital Marketing course for example, offers an Accredited Diploma on successful completion of the final exam which is roughly equivalent to an NCFE Level 4 qualification. An impressive addition to any CV!
We signed up for the digital marketing course and were pleasantly surprised at how engaging the course was. The tutor was lively and interesting and used engaging examples to illustrate their points. At the end of each session there was a question and answer session so students could clarify any points they weren’t sure of. There were regular assessments, and a final exam which needed to be passed first time in order to collect the Diploma.
The webinars took place twice a week on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7pm UK times but if you missed a session or just wanted to recap, the sessions were all uploaded promptly. There was an optional reading list and all of the books listed were on sale on the Shaw Books website. This is probably how they can afford to give away courses for free, but all purchases are optional. The only outlay on the courses was a 5 EURO fee for the final exam. There were also a couple of on demand sessions as well as 8 lives webinars.
